Max Novick is a New York based Jewish-American filmmaker.

Growing up on Long Island, Max studied filmmaking at the Long Island High School for the Arts, while commuting into Manhattan and Brooklyn to work on independent productions as a high school student. Max attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, studying filmmaking. He has analyzed screenplays for companies including Bleecker Street, Red Hour, AMC Networks, Symbolic Exchange, The Weinstein Company, and Coverfly.

His favorite film fluctuates between Billy Wilder’s The Apartment and Elaine May’s The Heartbreak Kid.

In 2023, Max wrote and directed the short films Poly and The Sabbath, focusing on modern relationships. He is currently preparing his feature debut, a feature version of Poly.
